Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Earthz handles information on earthz.org, its live map and its iOS and Android apps, including mobile advertising and the planned monthly and one-time ad-free purchases.

Who operates Earthz

Earthz operates this website and app. For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@earthz.org.

Information used to provide the service

  • When you view a map location, search for a place or ask the weather assistant, the relevant place name, coordinates or question is sent to our service to retrieve weather and event information. Please avoid including personal information in questions.
  • If you choose “My location,” your device asks for location permission. We use the coordinates to show local weather; you can deny or withdraw permission in your device or browser settings and still explore other places manually. We do not require continuous background location access for this feature.
  • Our servers may receive ordinary request information, including IP address, device or browser type, time and requested URL, to deliver the site and protect and troubleshoot the service. A URL may include a searched place or approximate coordinates.
  • Language, map-layer settings and some assistant preferences may be stored locally on your device. The site and app may cache map assets to improve performance. We do not require an account to view the map.

Rewarded ads and ad-free access

The mobile app uses opt-in Google AdMob rewarded ads. After the map opens, an invitation may appear after ten seconds and then every forty seconds while eligible; users may skip it and continue using the app. Watching a rewarded ad postpones the recurring ad invitation for 40 seconds. Separately, an interstitial ad may appear when switching between app menu sections, up to twice per device-local calendar day. Rewarded-ad viewing does not pause this separate menu-ad limit. Ad-free purchases suppress both formats. Google and its advertising partners may receive device identifiers (including an advertising identifier where available), IP address, app interactions and diagnostic information and may use them for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and, where permitted, personalization. Development builds use Google's test ad units; release builds use Earthz ad units. Ad requests start only when the app's consent SDK reports that ads may be requested. Ad availability can also depend on your region, choices, connectivity and the advertising service.

Earthz plans a monthly auto-renewing ad-free subscription with a target Turkey price of ₺140 per month and a one-time permanent ad-free purchase with a target Turkey price of ₺3,950. The monthly plan renews until canceled in your app store settings; the one-time plan does not renew. Store-displayed prices and terms control at checkout. Purchases become available only after the products are published in the relevant app stores. While ad-free access is active, we do not request or display AdMob ads; other service requests and ordinary platform processing may continue. Your app store handles payment details; Earthz uses store purchase status to determine access.

Service providers and transfers

Earthz uses weather, map and natural-hazard data providers to display the map. Map tiles or other resources requested from third-party services may expose your IP address and technical request details to those providers. We do not send your contact email to those providers just because you browse the map. Google processes mobile ad data under its own policies; the applicable app store will process purchase data if ad-free purchases become available. Depending on where providers operate, information may be processed outside your country.

Why and how long

We process necessary requests to provide weather and map features, maintain security and performance, respond to messages you send, and, when available, validate ad-free purchases. Optional location and advertising personalization depend on your choices and applicable law. Local preferences and caches remain until you clear them or uninstall the app. Server logs and support correspondence are retained only as needed for operations, security or applicable legal obligations; exact periods depend on the system and request. Your choices and rights

You can refuse or revoke location permission, change your language and map settings, clear browser/app data and manage ad choices or consent through the app's “Ad privacy choices” option when available in your region. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict personal data, object to processing or withdraw consent. Contact contact@earthz.org with a specific request; we may need enough information to verify and respond to it. You may also contact your local data-protection authority.

Children, security and changes

Earthz is a general-audience service and is not designed specifically for children. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. We use HTTPS and reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. If our data practices change materially, including when ads or purchases go live, we will update this page and its date.
